Best overall season for Madhya Pradesh. Weather is pleasant for Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Pachmarhi, Khajuraho, Orchha, Gwalior, and national park travel.
July – September
Pachmarhi is especially scenic in monsoon, with fuller waterfalls and lush Satpura landscapes. Some forest routes and viewpoints may require local jeep rules.
March – June
Summer is hot for heritage and pilgrimage sightseeing, but it can improve tiger sighting chances in Bandhavgarh and Kanha. Early starts are important.
Safari season
Tiger safari parks operate by official forest schedules and permit availability. Multiple safaris improve wildlife chances, but sightings are never guaranteed.
