The Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains

India's Last Great Frontier — and Worth Every Permit

Most travellers who reach Tawang say the same thing: "I had no idea a place like this still existed in India."

The road climbs past Sela Pass at 13,700 feet — the highest motorable mountain pass in the world — where the landscape turns white and still, and the air feels thin enough to notice. Below the pass, the Tawang Monastery sits at 10,000 feet, surrounded by prayer flags and glacier views, unchanged for centuries. In Ziro Valley, the Apatani tribe have been farming paddy fields using bamboo irrigation systems for generations. These aren't reconstructed experiences. They're places where life has simply continued on its own terms.

Yes, you need an Inner Line Permit. Think of it as the price of admission to somewhere genuinely off the tourist trail. We arrange it for you — it's a formality, not a barrier.

Our tours cover the full range: short four-day escapes to Itanagar and Ziro for those with limited time, the classic Tawang circuit with Sela Pass and Bomdila, the complete nine-day grand circuit that combines Tawang with Ziro Valley, and the eastern route through Parshuram Kund and the tea gardens near Dibrugarh. Every departure is from Guwahati, with a private vehicle and driver who knows the roads.

Why Meet 'N' Greet Travels

ILP, Mountain Roads, and Local Know-How — We Handle All of It

Arunachal Pradesh requires more logistics than most destinations. Here's what our experience means for your trip.

We sort the Inner Line Permit for you

Every Indian visitor needs an ILP before entering Arunachal. We handle the application and paperwork as part of every package — so you land in Guwahati ready to travel, not scrambling at a government office.

We know the roads — including when they're closed

Sela Pass can be blocked by snow well into March, and again in heavy monsoon. The Bumla Pass route requires a separate permit and doesn't always open on schedule. We'll tell you exactly what to expect before you book, not after you've landed.

Your vehicle. Your schedule.

Every package runs on a private vehicle — no shared cabs, no waiting for co-passengers. If you want to stop at a viewpoint, you stop. The drives across Arunachal are part of the experience; we build in time for them.

No hidden charges on arrival

Driver allowances, tolls, parking, and ILP fees are all included. We'll be upfront about what's not — entry fees, the Bumla Pass permit, personal expenses — so you can budget without surprises.

One person from pickup to drop-off

From the moment you arrive at Guwahati airport to your final drop-off, you have a single point of contact. No handoffs between operators. No confusion about who's managing what.

Plan Your Trip

When Should You Go?

March – May

Post-winter Arunachal is at its most welcoming. Sela Pass opens up after the snow, rhododendrons are in bloom across the hillsides, and temperatures in Tawang and Bomdila are mild enough to explore comfortably. A good time to visit before summer travel picks up.

September – November

Post-monsoon clarity makes this the best season for mountain views and photography. The skies are sharp, the roads have dried, and the high passes are reliably open. October and November are widely considered the peak months for the Tawang circuit.

December – February

Snow covers Sela Pass and the upper reaches of Tawang — dramatic and beautiful, but cold. Some high-altitude roads may close after heavy snowfall. Ideal for travellers who specifically want a snow experience and don't mind carrying the right gear.

June – August (Monsoon)

Heavy rainfall makes this the most unpredictable season. Landslides on mountain roads are common, and some routes — particularly to Tawang and the eastern circuit — can be disrupted for days at a time. Best avoided unless you have a fully flexible itinerary.

Note: An Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all Indian nationals visiting Arunachal Pradesh, regardless of season. Foreign nationals require a Protected Area Permit (PAP). We assist with ILP applications for all packages.
